Indian table-top flour grinder

Someone has very kindly donated a brand new "wet" grinder that is apparently used for grinding rice flour and lentils to form a mixture that is then made into Indian style pancakes and cakes. These are known as "dosais" and "idlis" and served as delicious cooked breakfast in most Indian homes. There are several attachments including one for grinding fresh coconut for use in curries. A very interesting gadget all in all, and bound to be of use to anyone who does a lot of Indian cooking. Price 175 quid.

Why we set up this web-log

We are trying to raise money for charities in Asia and Africa by selling unwanted items, and encouraging others to sell theirs. We would like to encourage visitors who dispose of their junk via this blog, to donate a part of the proceeds to charities in the developing world. As doctors who have visited and volunteered in many parts of Asia and Africa, we are aware of the huge disparities in living standards between them and us. We are also aware that we, all of us, tend to accumalate much more than we need. We on this blog are trying to be less materialistic, minimise our belongings, and live the simple life. Would you help us, please? At the moment it seems our lives are consumed by clutter, and we spend time worshipping mammon instead of serving our fellow-men.

Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also".

We would also like to create a space where our fellow medics can advertise items freely and anonymously, and exchange information about homes, rentals, holiday swaps etc.

Thanks for your participation.
